Experience and Expertise
I became a therapist because I experienced how powerful it can be to have support during a time when life feels chaotic, overwhelming, or uncertain. I know firsthand that difficult seasons of life do not define who someone is or who they can become. Some of the most painful or uncertain experiences can also become turning points, and I’m passionate about helping people during those times, just like someone once helped me. I know firsthand that struggling does not mean you’ve failed, and that with the right support, people can grow into versions of themselves they never expected.
Since beginning my career in social work in 2018, I’ve had the opportunity to support clients across many stages of life, including work in both hospital and senior center settings before eventually transitioning into community mental health and foster care services.
Some of the most meaningful experience in my career came from working as an Intensive Services Foster Care therapist with youth, teens, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and complex family dynamics. Through this work, I became certified in TF-CBT, MAP, Motivational Interviewing, and the Nurturing Parenting Program.
I also previously worked as a child forensic interviewer, where I spoke with children and families about difficult and traumatic experiences. That work strengthened my ability to stay calm, present, and nonjudgmental when clients share painful or deeply personal parts of their story.
Working with people from so many different backgrounds taught me that emotional pain rarely looks exactly the same from person to person, but many people share the same desire: to feel understood, grounded, connected, and more at peace within themselves.
Today, I bring that perspective into my work with teens and adults by creating a therapy space that feels supportive, collaborative, and genuinely human. My goal is not just to help clients cope, but to help them better understand themselves, build healthier patterns, and create lasting change in their lives.
